B/W Surveilance Best Shot

before

after

I came to the conclusion that this is my best photo because this is the
ONLY FISHEYE SHOT that I got out of the whole roll of film I had.
I don't really like the contrast in this picture because I under fixed my film
so it's kind of foggy.
anyways
I actually like the fish eye grid pattern on the side.
It looks like the woman is looking into a glass globe in a totally different realm.
The fact that the woman never knew that I was taking pictures palyed out the theme of 'surveilance'
well in this frame.
The only photoshop alteration I made was the contrast
because, again, my film was foggy and needed clear whites and blacks.

*

Personally, when I was taking the picture it freaked me out
because I could sense the other people's eyes on me everytime the camera clicked!
I pretended to take a picture of the landscape (the reason why IGA stands out so well in the picture)
and I was scared whether the woman knew I was taking the picture or not! D:
But still, it was fun

House Surveilance!

Friday, October 8, 2010

1) Where did you set up your camera first?
outside Sarge’s art room, stalking the little art majors.
2) Why did you select the area to survey?
there was a lot of movement and many people who were in the area

3) How long did you remain in the same area?
15min~20min

4) What sort of images did you capture?
the students gazing at me, the teacher giving me the ‘look’ and movement

5) Were you satisfied with the results? Why or why not?
no, because I couldn’t really get the feeling of ‘surveillance’ in the images, so I chose an image that wasn’t from the art room

6) Describe your favourite image; explain why it is your favourite.
it’s my favorite because it shows the feeling of surveillance and how a person from a different point of view is looking at the other person

7) How did you feel while you were taking the photos?
scared, self conscious, like a weirdo, stalker-like.
